@Materials and life science facility building has been completed on April 20, 2007 since the construction started in the beginning of 2004. Along with the building construction, installations of neutron source and muon target components have been carried out using large scale cranes in the MLF building.

The neutron source and muon target components are in the final stage of installation procedure since their manufacturing and installation started from 2004. The commissioning tests of those components are also under progress towards the first beam delivery date scheduled in May 2008. The proton beam transport line (BT) components have almost finished its commissioning for the forthcoming 3GeV RCS's beam commissioning in September, 2007. The rest of BT components are still in the commissioning test. On the other hand, the neutron instruments are in the midst of construction phase.
