Fast-extracted proton beam from the 50GeV Ring of the accelerator
is transported through the Proton Beam Transport
and hits the target in the Target Station.
Pions which are produced at the target
decay in the decay pipe, and
the muon-neutrino beam is generated.
The beam is shoot toward the Super-Kamiokande detector,
which is located in the Kamioka mine (Gifu prefecture)
and is 295km away from J-PARC, for the long-baseline neutrino-oscillation
experiment.
In order to monitor the neutrino beam,
Muon pit and
Near detector are constructed in the site.
