   The colloquium will be broadcast to KEK, Tsukuba by a video link.

Prof. White is an internationally recognized leader in the development and application of novel techniques using neutron and X-ray scattering. In this lecture, Prof. White will reveal the secrets to transforming J-PARC into a world leading center of scientific excellence with a truly international research culture and outlook. He also will illustrate the idea of translation from fundamental to useful research using the examples of viruses, membranes and soft matter industrial research.
