J-PARC MLF 2020A Call for General Use Proposals (Short Term) – First Announcement

J-PARC Center and CROSS are pleased to announce that we will be accepting General Use applications in the 2020A proposal round. The application period is:

From Thursday, 17 October to Thursday, 7 November 2019, 17:00 (Japan Time).

Full details of the 2020A Call for Proposals will be provided in the next announcement that will be released after 10 Oct. 2019. Please come back to check then!

  • 【Attention!】Experiment Period of 2020A is from April to July 2020.
  • Expected beam power in 2020A is 500 kW.
  • BL11 (PLANET: High-Pressure Neutron Diffractometer) accepts applications for one-year proposals from this proposal round.
  • Graduate students (doctor's course, master's course) can be the principal investigators.
  • Please use the latest template file (ver. 2020A), when you write “Research Plan” of the application form.
  • The call for the next proposal round (2020B) will be open in April 2020.
