If the sample container is provided (prepared) by the users, it is regarded as a ‘User provided equipment’ and also falls under the guidelines given below.
MThis section explains the application procedures required when bringing user provided equipment into MLF.
After declaration of a ‘user provided’ equipment, a safety review by the MLF Safety Team will be conducted. This section (page) presents the points and criteria of the safety review for specific equipment. For more details please consult the beam line scientist.
Regulations related to equipment safety at MLF are introduced.
Once the equipment has undergone the MLF safety review and has been approved for use at the MLF, the approval is valid for one year after the date of the safety review. Although a declaration of the user provided equipment is required for each experiment in which the equipment is used, a safety review will be not performed during the period of validity. A safety review report will be issued for the approved equipment; when submitting the declaration form for a user provided equipment please provide the proposal no., Beam Line and the date of the previous safety review of the corresponding equipment safety report.
When constructing new user-provided equipment to be used at the MLF, please consult the beam line scientist in advance. The MLF Safety Team will provide advice to ensure the equipment conforms to the safety regulations of the MLF.
