About Your Visit
Q. Can I come by car or motorcycle?
A. Two parking areas are available for visitors. Please check the locations on our website or event flyer.
Q. Where is the nearest station?
A. The nearest station is Tokai Station on the JR Joban Line. Please proceed to the Japan Atomic Energy Agency (JAEA) Headquarters, located about a 5-minute walk from the East Exit of Tokai Station, where you can register and board the shuttle bus.
Q. Do I need to register in advance to attend the Open House?
A. No advance registration is required to attend the Open House. However, advance reservations are required for some facility tours.
Q. Do I need to bring identification when visiting the Open House?
A. Visitors aged junior high school and above must bring a valid photo ID, such as a driver's license, My Number Card, passport, or student ID.
About the Event
Q. How can I get around the site?
A. Please walk within the designated pedestrian areas. To travel between the J-PARC Area and the Nuclear Science Research Institute Area, please use the on-site shuttle bus (J-PARC Line).
Q. Is there a set route for visiting the facilities?
A. A Visitor's Guide will be distributed on the day of the event. Some facility tours require advance reservations, but all other facilities may be visited freely.
Q. Can I visit with a stroller or wheelchair?
A. Yes. Please note that some facilities have steps. If you need assistance, please ask a nearby staff member.
Q. Are there places where I can change diapers or breastfeed?
A. Yes. Diaper-changing and nursing rooms are available. Please ask a nearby staff member for assistance.
Q. Are there any coin lockers?
A. No, coin lockers are not available.
Q. Will food and drinks be available for purchase?
A. Yes. The cafeteria and food trucks will be open, and beverage vending machines are also available.
Q. Are there any areas where eating and drinking are prohibited?
A. Yes. Eating and drinking are prohibited inside some experimental facilities. Please ask a nearby staff member if you are unsure. You may bring capped beverages, such as bottled drinks, into these areas.
Q. Can I take photos or videos in the Open House areas?
A. Photography and video recording are permitted inside buildings in the J-PARC Area.
