About the School

Location and Venues

The 6th AONSA Neutron School will be hosted by the Materials and Life Science Experimental Facility (MLF) of J-PARC – the Japan Proton Accelerator Research Complex. J-PARC is located in Tokai Village on the Japanese Pacific coast about 130 km northeast of Tokyo.

The School lectures will be held in the Ibaraki Quantum Beam Research Center (IQBRC) building located adjacent to the J-PARC site.

The practical components of the School will take place at the beamlines and associated facilities within the MLF.

Eligibility

The School is open to postgraduate students, postdoctoral fellows and early-career researchers from the Asia-Oceania region.

Maximum Enrollment

Enrollment in the School will be limited to forty (40) participants. In principle, twenty (20) applications from Japan and twenty (20) from overseas will be accepted.

Registration Fee

A fee of 40,000 JPY will be charged for each School participant.

Accommodation and Meals

Twin-share accommodation (5 nights) in a local Japanese-style hotel (ryokan) close to the J-PARC site and all meals during the duration of the School will be provided for participants.
